Roundup of Saturday's boys basketball games: Feb. 17

Chris Wright stole the show once again for Trotwood-Madison, scoring 22 points and leading the visiting Rams to a 58-44 victory over Springboro in Saturday's boys high school regular-season basketball.

The Rams opened a 10-point lead at half. Aaron Stonecash scored 21 points for the Panthers.

Trotwood faces Troy on Monday at UD Arena in its Division I sectional opener.

Northmont 56, North 40: The T-Bolts won their final tuneup before the sectional. Davin Lewis drained 14 points and Brian Tolle added 11 for Northmont. Victor Corner led North with 16 points. The T-Bolts benefitted from a 21-6 third-quarter blitz. Northmont plays Greenville Wednesday at UD Arena in the D-I sectional.

Bellbrook 45, Carroll 32: Matt Farler's eight field goals led to 19 points and helped to lead the Golden Eagles. Pat Sedlar and Kevin Vest both scored 10 points for the Patriots. Bellbrook (14-5) plays Hamilton Ross on Tuesday at Springboro in a D-II sectional opener.

Xenia 71, Stebbins 54: Zach Furlong's 22 points paced a balanced Buccaneers attack. The Indians were led by Al White's 19 points. Stebbins (7-13) plays West Carrollton on Monday in the D-I sectional. The winner of that game faces Xenia (11-8) the following week.

Jefferson 47, Xenia Christian 40: Dwayne Sanders led Jefferson (17-3) with 14 points. Josh Eldridge led Xenia Christian (6-14) with 15 points. Jefferson plays National Trail in the D-III sectionals at Fairmont on Tuesday.
